How It Works
The HMIS (Hazardous Materials Identification System) rates chemicals 0-4 for health, fire, and reactivity hazards. Cleaning products with pH below 2 or above 12.5 are corrosive and require full PPE. Green Seal and EPA Safer Choice certified products typically have VOCs under 50 g/L and HMIS health ratings of 0-1.
